The professional experiences of Tom "Doc" Brudzinski that support TOMe LLC were accumulated over a 45-plus year career with both focus and diversity in the built and graphic environment.
More than half of the experience base was accumulated while working for The Rouse Company in Columbia. MD, a developer of planned communities like Columbia and major retail and mixed-use developments like Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market in Boston, MA, Harborplace & The Gallery in Baltimore, MD and The Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables, FL.
Doc began work at The Rouse Company in early 1980 as a Design Manager in the Community Development Division.. Over the 24 years he was with the Company, his responsibilities and experience increased as he worked on BOTH community development ("New Town") and major retail and mixed use projects. In 1991, he was named Director of Planning/Design for the Community Development Division of the Company, while he also continued (uniquely within the Company) working on retail/mixed use projects. By late 2004, when The Rouse Company was acquired by General Growth Properties (GGP), Doc had become Vice President and Director of Planning & Design, heading the combined Design Group for Community Development AND Retail/Mixed Use Developments. With the 2004 acquisition, Doc became Vice President/Director of Planning and Design for GGP, where he remained until early 2007, when he founded TOMe LLC..
